J-14 visited the set of iCarly star Nathan Kress' new TV movie, Game of Your Life. In the flick, entrepreneurial gamer Zach Taylor (Glee's Titus Makin, Jr.,) lands a prized scholarship to the prestigious Digital Institute for Game Design (DIGD), but first he will have to prove himself and pass the infamous freshman project that eliminates more than half of the class within the first three months. Nathan plays Phillip, a brilliant, yet socially awkward student, who is paired with Zach.

J-14 Q&A with Brendan Meyer

BreadanMeyer.jpg

Get the inside scoop on Brendan Meyer, star of Disney XD's Mr. Young! J-14 had a great time catching up with the lead funny man to ask him all about the show, what he loves to do in his free time, and the number one thing girls do that absolutely baffles him.

J-14: How'd you get started in acting?
Brenden Meyer:
I grew up in Edmonton, Canada, where acting was always a hobby of mine. It was just something that I did from age six. I didn't do it seriously and didn't have an agent for a while. Then when I was 10, I decided I wanted to get an agent. So my mom helped me get an agent and I started auditioning at Edmonton. I was lucky enough to get a show that got me an agent in Vancouver. Vancouver's the big hub of auditioning in Canada; people call it Hollywood North. To get an agent there was good. I've been doing the normal thing, going out for auditions, coming close, getting a couple things here and there. I've been doing that for five years. And then I got this job.

J-14: How are you similar to your character on Mr. Young.
Brendan:
The character I play is Adam Young, a 14-year-old genius who graduated from a university at 14 and decided to go back to high school to become a teacher. He's the same age as the kids in his class. I'm similar to him in some ways- I'd like to think I have some of his confidence. I found that being an actor on a TV show is a lot like his predicament. I'm doing an adult job and sometimes I have to work 12-hour days. At the same time, I'm having normal kid problems, and I'm still growing up and figuring out who I am.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 finally hits theaters today! J-14 caught up with Rob Pattinson and chatted about his experiences from the beginning of it all to now, his favorite scenes from Breaking Dawn, Part 1, and what his own real-life wedding will be like!

Q: What's the journey been like for you from when you started filming Twilight to wrapping Breaking Dawn?
Rob Pattinson: I didn't even know if I was going to continue acting before this happened. Now, I have much more drive and passion. In the beginning, I just ignored that he was a vampire. He was just a troubled teenager who has a really simple story -- getting content with himself, which he does by finding a woman and having a child.

Q: Tell us all about the birth scene. Was it really as intense to film as everyone says?
Rob: I read the script before I read the book and I was astonished. It was terrifying going into it but it ended up being one of the most incredible scenes in the movie. Especially for Edward, he's always held back and been very objective and logical about everything, so having every character feel so desperate was something very, very different.

Name: Sterling Beaumon

Age: 16

Where to see him: Sterling plays the rebellious Seamus (Mr. Green) on The Hub's new mystery series Clue. Catch the show on Mondays at 8:00 p.m, ET.

Why we love him: Not only is Sterling a talented actor, but he's a singer and hockey player too! He even plays for his school's team.

He talks about... his music: "I have a single that I just released called "Firing Blind." It actually has a great message. It's about how you shouldn't judge a person if you don't know them. Don't fire blind. Don't call them names or knock down their beliefs just because you don't like the way they look or something."

Check out Sterling in this sneak peak of Clue:

J-14 Q&A with Kristen Stewart

In honor of Breaking Dawn, Part 1's movie release weekend, J-14 has an interview with the leading lady of the Twilight Saga, Kristen Stewart. Kristen tells us all about being Bella in the final installment, how much of her character is like her real-life personality, and she even opens up about her favorite scene (Hint: it includes a walk down the aisle)!

Q: How was it different playing Bella in Breaking Dawn vs. playing her in the other films?
Kristen Stewart:
Shooting the two movies at the same time, completely out of sequence, I was everywhere each day. In this movie, Bella's very much in her own head. Playing a vampire and a woman who's pregnant and a woman who's about to get married, literally sometimes all in one day or sometimes the same week, it's overwhelming!

Q: What was going through your mind walking down the aisle during the wedding scene?
Kristen:
I had a million different things going through my head. I just kept telling myself, "Find yourself in this moment and appreciate it."

J-14 Q&A with Taylor Lautner

TaylorLautner.jpg

In celebration of the first half of the final Twilight Saga installment, J-14 caught up with Taylor Lautner to talk all about Breaking Dawn, Part 1. He gave us the inside scoop on the now infamous imprinting scene, his emotional last day on set, and all of the ways he relates to Jacob's love for Bella in real life!

Q: First and foremost: Tell us all about the imprinting scene!
Taylor Lautner:
Luckily we had Stephenie Meyer on set the entire time and, trust me, I asked her a million times, "Ok, explain to me one more time what imprinting is and did you ever envision what Jacob looked like, what is he doing when he's imprinting?" It was very, very confusing. And then it didn't help when we actually filmed it they put an "x" on the wall and said, "This is Renesmee. Walk in the room, look at the 'x' and you're going to imprint." It was tough!

Q: Were you at all bothered that Edward gets a hot vampire and all Jacob gets is a baby?
Taylor:
I've gotten over that by now. But I remember the first time reading the book, I was like, "Wait, Jacob's been trying to get Bella this entire time and he strikes out so he goes for her child?" I was so confused. It took me a second. You have to tread lightly because it is a very special thing and it isn't romantic at all.
