Taylor Swift's new song "Revenge" was leaked earlier this week, and then promptly removed from YouTube. Rumor has it that the track was inspired by her most recent ex, Harry Styles.
While it's unfortunate that Haylor didn't work out, at least we'll get a killer new song out of it. Because let's face it, if artists never went through horrible heartbreaks, most of the best tracks on your breakup playlist wouldn't exist.

Adele's entire album, 21, was inspired by her breakup with her former beau. Looks like Adele got the last laugh, since her album went straight to number one.
3. "Cry Me A River" by Justin Timberlake
Justin's breakup anthem came about after his split with pop superstar Britney Spears. Selena Gomez later used the song to her advantage, singing it at her UNICEF concert shortly after rumors of her split with Justin.

Justin's song about Selena is one of our favorites. Even though it's sad, it's definitely one of his most heartfelt tunes.

Even though Demi didn't write "Mistake," she said that she really connected with the lyrics after her breakup with Joe Jonas.

Katy wasn't going to keep her emotions bottled up inside of her after her divorce with Russell Brand. Instead, the singer used her song as an outlet the vent about her hurt feelings.
