New Jersey pop-rockers Action Item just released their latest single "Marching Band" off their anticipated EP, due out this summer. "We're really excited about it," Anthony Li, Action Item's guitarist and vocalist, tells J-14. "It's something we feel that nobody's ever done before."

The band recently stopped by the J-14 offices and gave us the scoop on the story behind their new single. "'Marching Band' is a story-ish song where the character of the song pretty much describes how he feels about this girl but in a very vivid kind of way. He says his heart beats like a marching band, he only sees lights when he's with this girl -- it's a very vivid picture," Anthony says. "And the music actually matches the tone of the song. You can hear all the things that the character is feeling too."

On April 10, Action Item kicks off their string of dates on Hot Chelle Rae's Beautiful Freaks Tour before playing the Bamboozle festival in New Jersey and hitting the road this summer.
