What do Kim Kardashian, Serena Williams, Joan Rivers -- and 'Wizards of Waverly Place''s Jake T. Austin have in common? They're all guest stars on Lifetime's series 'Drop Dead Diva.'
The role marks a groundbreaking turn for Jake -- who plays a 16-year-old video game genius who's out to sue his father. The episode airs Sunday, June 10, at 9 p.m. ET.
"I'm so excited about this role because it's like nothing I've ever played before," Jake tells J-14 exclusively. "I play a character named Sam who's a self-made multi-millionaire and the CEO of own company, thanks to the internet! Sam is suing his dad for emancipation so that he can go on a school field trip to Vietnam. This character is highly intelligent, independent, and self-motivated."
Despite the change in the kind of character he plays, Jake loved the experience. "As an actor, Sam was an enjoyable challenge to play -- and working with all the cast and crew in Atlanta was so much fun!"
