There's more to Jonas Brother, Joe Jonas, than performing with his brothers and acting on shows like 'Jonas' and 'Hot in Cleveland.' Joe is also passionate about giving back -- and that's why he returned for another year as part of the ACUVUE 1-DAY contest. And now Joe Jonas talks exclusively with J-14.com about why the program is so important to him.
J-14: Giving back to the community is such a big part of your life, how do you suggest teens get involved in volunteer work?
Joe Jonas: Start simple. Work with friends or family. Find something you are passionate about and see what small ways you can raise money or awareness.
J-14: You recently mentored teens through the ACUVUE 1-DAY Contest -- what did that experience mean to you?
Joe: My favorite part of the ACUVUE 1-DAY contest was witnessing a younger generation be passionate about dreams and how they want to change lives by helping others.
J-14: How has being part of the 1-DAY Dream contest changed you?
Joe: It's been a lot easier to find ways to get the word out there. I'm inspired every day to do this, not only because I love music but because you can help others along the way.
J-14: In the ACUVUE 1-DAY mentorship video you seem like a natural in the kitchen, do you enjoy cooking?
Joe: I do love to cook. Being in the food truck was a little different than what I'm used to. One of my favorite summer recipes would have to be fish tacos. They are my favorite!
J-14: You're living in New York City this summer -- do you have a favorite New York food truck?
Joe: I do. There is a food truck that serves some of the best gyros on 16th Street and 10th Avenue. One of my favorites for sure.
