The One Direction boys recorded a cover of "One Way or Another" that leaked just a few weeks ago (here's when we told you about it, remember?). Well, now the wait to get an official copy of the single is only days away.

On February 17 "One Way or Another" will be available on iTunes and all proceeds are going towards the UK charity Comic Relief. Niall spoke a little about Comic Relief and the boys' recent trip to Ghana when he premiered the track on Nick Grimshaw's Radio 1 just a few hours ago.

"[Ghana] was just a life-changing experience," said Niall "We would really, really urge people to donate as much as they can."

He added, "I don't think people believe how poor these people are until you're actually there. I've seen it and it's pretty bad." The proceeds collected from the track's sales will go towards helping these children in Africa, as well as other developing nations.

before-you-exit-tour-diary.jpg

This winter, pop brother trio Before You Exit is hitting the road on Action Item's The Resolution Tour and J-14 is giving you a sneak peak in to the lives of the boys while they keep us up to date in their exclusive tour diaries from the road! Check out the third tour diary below from the youngest brother, Toby McDonough.

So far on this tour we've had so much fun. Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas were all some great shows. My favorite memories start from playing football in the parking lot of Austin Texas at Stubbs Barbecue with all of the other bands to making a full band run to Starbucks in Houston, Texas. Meeting everyone at the shows has also been a huge highlight of tour!

Traveling on the bus with everyone from venue to venue definitely brings up some funny stories. We have so much fun on the bus like starting from dance parties in the back of the bus to throwing the football through the bus with each other. One time while tossing the football, someone decided to kick the football and it flew straight into Connor's bunk and hit the milk he was drinking right out of his hands and directly into his face. We were all cracking up and laughed for at least thirty minutes. There are so many tour stories to share and those are just a few of my favorite from this tour. Hope to see some of you out at the shows!

-Toby

One Direction is kicking of their Take Me Home tour in just a few weeks and just announced that they've personally chosen Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer to open for them!

"We discovered 5SOS on YouTube last year and we all knew straight away they were very special," 1D's Niall Horan says. "We're so excited to have them on the road with us and we know our fans are going to LOVE what these lads do."

And 5SOS couldn't be more stoked! "None of this has sunk in for us; it's surreal to think we will be on the same bill as a band who are on such a world-wide scale."

Here's what you need to know about 5 Seconds of Summer:

1. The band's made up of 4 boys. Luke Hemmings, 16, Michael Clifford, 17, Calum Hood, 17, and Ashton Irwin, 18.

2. They're from Australia, so yes, they have adorable accents!

3. Louis Tomlinson was the one who originally found them on Youtube. "A little while ago, a lad by the name of Louis Tomlinson stumbled across a video of ours on Youtube," 5SOS say. " He showed the rest of the guys and they really liked what we were doing."

4. All Time Low is one of their biggest musical inspirations.

5. Their latest album is called 'Unplugged' and it's available on iTunes.

J-14 Exclusive: Victoria Justice Talks 'Fun Size'

Victoria-Justice-fun-size-q-and-a-birthday.jpg

Today, February 19 is Victoria Justice's 20th birthday and to celebrate we're sharing the inside scoop we got from her about her hilarious flick 'Fun Size,' out today on DVD! In the movie, Victoria's character Wren is left babysitting her little brother on what's supposed to be a fun night out -- Halloween. Trying to have a good time but still take responsibility for her little bro lands her in tons of trouble. We got to dish with Victoria on the fun behind the scenes, the hardest part about filming, and what made her pick this role!

J-14: Tell us a little bit about your character in 'Fun Size.'

Victoria Justice: Wren hasn't been able to act like a normal teenager because she's constantly having to babysit her younger brother. She has so much responsibility because of that and I think she's dealing with a little bit of teen angst. She kind of resents her mom because she's dating this younger guy and, like I said, she's always stuck with her brother, so she's dealing with a lot at a young age.

J-14:What made you decide to do the movie?

Victoria: I read the script and I thought it was super funny and different. I had to audition for the role, I had to work hard to get it. But once I did, I was super excited.

J-14: What kinds of things did you do between takes?

Victoria: We just talked and hung out. We filmed 90 percent of the movie at night, so there were times when some of us were falling asleep on set because we had to totally readjust our schedules. But we really just laughed a lot and had a good time.

J-14: What would you say was the hardest part about filming?

Victoria: The scene where the chicken falls on top of the car was hard to film because it was just such a ridiculous thing to happen. We had to completely be straight-faced, like this was the worst moment of our lives. But inside we wanted to crack up because it was just so hilarious!

J-14:What was your favorite part of filming?

Victoria: Just hanging out with the cast and crew. I mean, we all bonded so well. Thomas Mann and I became really good friends and we still hang out. And Jane Levy, Thomas McDonald, and Osric Chau -- I think they're all just great people. It's always nice when you click with the people you are working with. We filmed it in Cleveland, Ohio, so we got to explore that city together -- the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is there and that was really cool. There were lots of fun things we got to do.

J-14 Editor Blog: The Ready Set Rocks NYC!

The-Ready-Set-New-York-City.jpg

Hey J-14ers!

I was stoked to accompany J-14's Nicole to see one of my absolute favorite bands, The Ready Set on February 14th at the Gramercy Theater and it also happened to be my very first concert in New York City!

I usually know the opening acts but this time I was introduced to two great new artists who will definitely be on my next playlist. They really got the crowd excited for The Ready Set and set the mood for a fantastic upbeat night.

Goldhouse opened the night and they played a handful of songs and covered Rihanna's "We Found Love". It was epic and I'm definitely a fan now. They were full of energy and it made it's way into the crowd who could hardly contain themselves for the next act. After a quick set change New York's own Outasight played. The crowd absolutely loved the rap/hip-hop influence he had and I must say although I only knew his hit single "Tonight is the Night", I danced along to every song and really enjoyed myself. I would love to see him and Ed Sheeran battle it out to see who can sing the fastest! I lost my breath just listening to him!

I have been a fan of The Ready Set ever since the first EP came out and I had already seen him twice in the last two months so I was super stoked for Jordan to hit the stage. Jordan and his band, lead guitarist Deryck Stanek, bassist Mike Naran (you may know him from his former band Sparks The Rescue) and drummer Travis Rountree, didn't keep us waiting too long -- the lights lowered about 15 minutes after Outasight. Everyone was screaming waiting for them to come on stage and the screams got even louder once the first few notes of their opening song "Love Like Woe" started playing. The Ready Set is a perfect band to see live because it always feels like you're at a party; the songs are meant to get you dancing and having fun and that's exactly what we did!

Victoria is using her musical talent to help the organization continue to spread awareness by creating a single and music video titled "Girl Up." We love her bubbly hits on 'Victorious,' but when you listen to 'Girl Up' your heart will melt.

One-Direction-One-Way-Or-Another.jpg

The minute that One Direction released their long-awaited self-made video for "One Way or Another," the whole J-14 staff was texting each other about their favorite parts of it -- so of course, we had to share them with you.

Our consensus is definitely that we love 1D even more for putting together this video for such a good cause. "This year, we decided to make a single to raise a money for Comic Relief," Louis Tomlinson says. "Comic Relief are a British charity that do amazing work helping people all over Africa and in the U.K. living with really tough lives," Zayn Malik continues.

"So instead of spending a lot of money on making a music video, we decided to make it ourselves while we were on tour and give the money we save to Comic Relief," Harry Styles explained.

Check out our favorite moments from One Direction's "One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks)":

"Niall Horan is the funniest thing ever when he's singing in the shower. And I love how Liam 'Daddy Directioner' Payne is keeping a watchful eye on everyone. Too cute!" --J-14 Deputy Editor Ashley Spencer

"I loved the ending with Harry singing and all the boys shouting with the kids from Ghana! So sweet and really shows who all this money is going to help!" --J-14 Intern Vivian Nunez

"When U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron is hugged by all of 1D -- and he looks terrified." --J-14 Designer Tanya Swartz

"My favorite moment is definitely Niall's solo -- from dancing in the shower to hanging out with the little kids in Ghana -- I thought he looked right in his element during the whole video!" --J-14 Photo Assistant Nicole Mazza

"Although I love the creativity of the entire video, my favorite part has to be when they're on stage in Japan and the whole crowd is doing the exact same dance behind them!" --J-14 Assistant Editor Laura Knipping

"I'm obsessed with the way Louis Tomlinson does the dance move on the grass in front of the London Eye with such precision and passion! And then the next shot of Harry Styles in Times Square with his 'Newsies'-like cap. I want to cast him in the Broadway musical -- stat!" --J-14 Editor-in-chief Rachel Chang

"I love the end of the video when all the kids are hanging off the boy. Everyone looked like they were having the greatest time. And Niall singing in the shower was hilarious too!" --J-14 Intern Melissa Flores

"Seeing the guys dance with the kids is Ghana is so unbelievably cute!" --J-14 Photo Editor Danielle Kepler

Before-You-Exit-Tour-Diary-4.jpg

This winter, pop brother trio Before You Exit hit the road on Action Item's The Resolution Tour and J-14 gave you a sneak peak in to the lives of the boys while they kept us up to date in their exclusive tour diaries from the road! Check out their fourth and last tour diary from The Resolution Tour from Connor McDonough!

From all the shows on the west coast to all the shows across the Midwest and then all the way back to the east coast, this tour has definitely been an all around amazing experience, and it was such a bummer for it to come to an end. Every show was incredible and had their own memories that we will remember them for. One standout moment was at our show in Toronto when every single person in the crowd held up paper hearts during our brand new song 'Soldier'. Each heart had messages like "BYE is our Soldier" and each one of us was amazed.

A night we will for sure remember on this tour was prank night, the last night of tour for those of you who don't know. We always make sure to go out of our way for this night and make sure not only we remember it but the other bands do too! Some of our pranks included toilet papering, duck taping, and saran wrapping band members, making the entire crowd sit down during one of the band's songs, or even dressing up in choir robes and coming out on stage singing. We definitely try and make sure that our pranks win over the other bands.

All in all the Resolution tour was one to never forget. Special thanks to all of the bands, our crew, and most importantly each and every person that came out to one of these shows. It is because of your support that we are able to live out our dream and do what we love to do. Thank you all so much <3

-Connor

The-Oscars-best-moments-j-14-editor-blog.jpg

The J-14 editors can't stop chatting about Hollywood's biggest night, the Oscars! Here are our top pics for the best moments of last night's Academy Awards:

"My favorite moment of the night was when Jennifer Lawrence won her award for 'Silver Linings Playbook.' Even though she tripped and fell, she was as graceful as ever and her acceptance was everything an acceptance speech should be." --Photo Editor Nicole Mazza

"My favorite Oscar moment was when Hugh Jackman ran up to help Jennifer Lawrence when she fell. So cute!" --Designer Tanya Swartz

"Jennifer Lawrence in general! She is so quirky and normal, I love seeing her at these big events being so unconventional. Also, seeing Anne Hathaway win brought tears to my eyes, she's doing Genovia proud!" --Intern Lindsey Smith

"It's a tie between three: First, I might have fangirled just a bit when Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Daniel Radcliffe joined Seth MacFarlane to perform Frank Sinatra's 'High Hopes.' Second, I absolutely loved the performance by the cast of 'Les Mis.' And third is, of course, J-Law winning Best Actress! She fell on the stairs and still had such grace and poise. Plus, she had Hugh Jackman and Bradley Cooper rushing to her aid...um, jealous!!" --Intern Sora Hwang

"My favorite part was when Channing Tatum and Charlize Theron danced to 'The Way You Look Tonight.' What a sweet surprise!" --Assistant Editor Laura Knipping

"So excited that Adele won an Oscar for her song 'Skyfall!' She's half way to an EGOT (Emmy Grammy Oscar Tony). If anyone can do it, it's Adele!" --Photo Editor Danielle Kepler

"I have to say the musical parts of the Oscars were my favorite this year. From Adele's perfect performance of 'Skyfall' (girl had awesome hair, too) to Daniel Radcliffe and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's dance on stage, to the 'Les Mis' medley, music at the Academy Awards has never been better!"--Editorial Assistant Rachel Torgerson

"The 'Les Misèrables' medley was absolutely stunning -- vocally and visually -- especially Aaron Tveit and Samantha Barks. And I loved the tribute to the classic musical 'The Sound of Music' with its star Christopher Plummer. Plus, as a Taiwanese-American, I was so proud to see Taiwanese director Ang Lee win for 'Life of Pi' -- and thank the country!" --Editor-in-Chief Rachel Chang

The Oscars saved the best for last when Ben Affleck gave his Best Picture speech for 'Argo.' Even though he was snubbed from a Director nom, I love that Ben inspired everyone, saying, 'You have to work harder than you think you possibly can. It doesn't matter how you get knocked down in life because that's going to happen. All that matters is you have to get up.' Plus, how precious was wife Jennifer Garner cheering him on from the crowd? And I may have teared up when he chocked out a final shout out to his kids, 'Violet, Sam, and Seraphina, I love you. This is for you.' --Deputy Editor Ashley Spencer

And this year, we had J-14 readers join in on Twitter too... here are some of your favorite moments...
