We hung out with Jordin Sparks last night at the Crystal Light Liquid event in NYC and chatted with the singer about everything from Jason Derulo to American Idol!

As a former contestant on the show, Jordin understands the pressure and nerves that the current contestants are all too familiar with. But that doesn't mean the singer doesn't have a favorite!

"I never [pick a favorite] because I know how it felt to be standing there when somebody didn't say your name, and they're all incredibly talented and they're all so different." Jordin tells us. "But I'm going to say Candice. Her voice just does something to me! But we'll see - America has voted!"

So Jordin is rooting for Candice, but who are you all voting for? We posed the question last night on J-14's Facebook page and the majority of you said you want Angie to win!

As soon as it was announced that Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift would be touring together, rumors about a relationship between the two started flying.

However, according to Ed, he would never date the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer.

''I think it would be incredibly unprofessional and idiotic for me to do that, he told Ok! Magazine.

"To go on tour for six months with someone and hook up with them just before you go out on tour, which is what people think we did -- that's just a really silly thing to do," Ed adds. "The tour would be very awkward by now, and it's not, so that's that."

But just because Ed doesn't want to date Taylor, doesn't mean that they're not super close friends! "We started off instant friends, and it's been that since then," Ed spilled.

Earlier in the week we told you about The Wanted's fun new music video for "Walks Like Rihanna," which is filled with references to '90s boy bands.

Last night at a concert in Stockholm, Sweden, One Direction decided to do a cover of The Backstreet Boys classic, "I Want It That Way."

Coincidence?

Given the longstanding rivalry between the bands -- not to mention the recent Twitter feud between Louis Tomlinson and Tom Parker -- we think that 1D could have been trying to one-up The Wanted.

Even though Ed Sheeran has said he would never date Taylor Swift, he still considers her one of his good friends! Just like any BFF, Ed gets increasingly frustrated when people make fun of her and her love life.

Opening up to OK! Magazine about the issue, Ed said:

"The rumor that she dates a lot of people is a misconception, because in the time that I've known her, which has been almost two years now, she has dated two people. Fact! And in her entire life, I think she's dated around five or six people."

He continued, "I mean, I have female friends at home who would not have the same reputation as Taylor in media that have been with ten times more people than her."

It's easy to tell that Ed and Taylor have a special bond! According to "The A-Team" singer, he really enjoys Taylor's company!

"I don't like when people take shots at her because I do know her personally, and I think people get the wrong end of the stick," Ed said. "She's so successful, and she's so nice and sweet to everyone that she meets, there is nothing bad to say but she was being pictured with a lot of dudes."

Ed may just be the sweetest guy ever! We hope our BFFs would stick up for us like Ed does for Taylor!

There's no denying that Taylor Swift is a cat person! The singer is always posting the most hilarious pics of her and her feline friend, Meredith. Even Ed Sheeran recognizes her passion for animals and says her next boyfriend should be a vet!

"When she's on stage, she's an entertainer and a performer," Ed told MTV. "But when she's off stage, she spends half the time tossing cat treats to her cat."

When it was announced that Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran's duet "Everything Has Changed" would be the next UK single off the Red album, we were super excited! We love the way their voices sound together.

According to Ed, the BFFs have collaborated on even more duets together since they're time on tour!

"We did three songs, and recorded two, and one went on her album, which is the next single," Ed told MTV. "But we'll see what happens with the other one, there's no specific plan so far, it's just chilling on my iTunes right now. It's on my phone."

We seriously hope at least one, or both, of the duets appear on Ed's upcoming album. Because let's be honest, we want to see more of this...

Are you excited that Ed and Taylor are continuing to make music together?

Jersey Shore cast member Vinny Guadagnino has been awfully busy lately working on his new MTV series, The Show With Vinny. But according to Vinny, it's his mom Paola who was made for reality TV -- even if she cares more about cooking than becoming a star!

"She is a complete natural in front of the camera," he exclusively tells us. "It's amazing. I'm the one who gets nervous."

The Show With Vinny takes place in Vinny's parents' Staten Island home, where he spends his days interviewing big name celebrities like Victoria Justice and Lil' Wayne. The only kicker? His mom is always interrupting things to offer his guests food or tell them hilarious stories about Vinny!

When Lil' Wayne visited the Guadagnino house, Paola insisted he take a doggy bag of food to go -- talk about embarrassing!

Plus, she always needs to give final approval of his outfits.

So does Vinny get embarrassed when his mom butts into his interviews? Well, duh!

"Every episode she embarrasses me more than the last," Vinny says. "Picture like when you go to meet your boyfriend's family, or you have a [friend] come over to your house, and one of [your parents] starts with the old bathtub photos. My show is like that, except broadcasted to the world. So I'm always sitting there shaking my head while my mom is embarrassing me."

Poor Vinny -- and the show is only two episodes in! Hey, as long as it's not our mom embarrassing us, it's fine right?

We're glad Vinny is such a good sport about it all. He's truly a mama's boy at heart!

In White Frog, a new coming-of-age-movie opening today in select cities, Glee's Harry Shum, Jr. plays Chaz Young, the older brother of Nick (Twilight Saga: Eclipse star Booboo Stewart), a boy who suffers from Asperger's syndrome. The disorder makes it difficult for him to communicate with others, so Chaz is the only person who really connects with his brother.

"I was really fortunate to be able to play this role," Harry exclusively tells us. "I filmed this while shooting Glee. Obviously, without the singing and dancing, it's not as light of a role as Mike Chang, who's a lot happier, even though he's dealing with a lot of issues on the show."

When a tragedy suddenly strikes the family, Chaz's friend Randy (Wizards of Waverly Place star Gregg Sulkin) steps in to help Nick cope.

"Basically from the outside, everything seems perfect, but Randy is fighting an internal battle, which I can't give away," Gregg explains. "As the movie continues, you get to see Randy and Chaz's relationship in more detail, and what kind of relationship it was. I couldn't relate to the situation at all, so it was a great opportunity for me to test my acting skills and dig my teeth into something."

Speaking of teeth, we were curious what it was like having so many werewolves on set. (Teen Wolf's Tyler Posey also has a role in the movie!)

"There was no howling," Gregg says. "But we all got along great. The werewolves kind of stuck together!"

In honor of Mother's Day, we're paying tribute to Pattie, who never stopped believing in her son and helped him grow into the confident and humble artist he is today!

Take Justin's mom out of the equation and the "Boyfriend" singer wouldn't have half the opportunities he does today!

It's a happy time for Selena Gomez and her family! Yesterday, the "Come And Get It" singer posted a pic of her and her mom, Mandy, in honor of Mother's Day. In the photo, Selena's mom seems to be showing off a baby bump!

The pop star tweeted:

This is exciting news for the family, who suffered a loss when Mandy had a miscarriage back in 2011. Plus, this will be Selena's first sibling!

We weren't the only ones paying homage to Justin Bieber's mom Pattie Mallette yesterday! In honor of Mother's Day, Justin surprised her at his concert last night in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The pop star had Pattie join him on stage, where he gave her flowers and sang "One Less Lonely Girl." Talk about cute!

Demi Lovato's new album Demi isn't due out until tomorrow, but as the Lovatics among us know, most of the songs have been streaming online since last week.

One notable exception? "I Hate You, Don't Leave Me," a bonus track that will only appear on the version of the album sold in Target stores.

"I'm continuing to let out a lot of things therapeutically on my music and I'm very thankful I have the opportunity to do that," she added.

Even though Selena Gomez visited Justin Bieber in Norway, it doesn't mean that the two are back together. In fact, it seems Selena's mind is made up when it comes to Justin, because she says that she's still single!

Demi Lovato is all about spreading the love. First she gives a shout-out to her girl Selena Gomez, and now she's raving about Ariana Grande!

In an interview with Billboard, Demi was asked if there were there any up-and-coming pop artists who have impressed her with their vocal ability. We absolutely love her response!

"Ariana Grande," Demi said. "She has vocals that are just unbelievable, and I have so much respect for her because she is a true singer. She's someone that I feel like is going to have a long career because of her voice, and I think she's going to be a huge name. She's gonna be great."
