Katy Perry has stayed mum since the news that Russell Brand filed for divorce from the singer on December 30. But over the weekend, Katy broke her silence and took to Twitter to address the situation and the constant rumors about their split head-on. "Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family," Katy Tweeted. "I am so grateful for all the love and support I've had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again."

Katy will make her first scheduled public appearance since the news at Wednesday's People's Choice Awards. Katy is up for seven trophies including: Favorite Animated Movie Voice (for her role as Smurfette in The Smurfs), Favorite Pop Artist, Favorite Music Video ("Last Friday Night [T.G.I.F]"), Favorite Tour Headliner, Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Song of the Year ("E.T."), and favorite TV guest star (for her appearance on How I Met Your Mother).
