Miley Cyrus' big brother Trace Cyrus and actress Brenda Song have called off their eight-month engagement, Trace announced in a statement on Monday.
"Brenda and I have decided to go our separate ways," Trace says. "We split up a couple of months ago. We will continue to focus on our careers. I wish Brenda the best and much success in the future. I hope everyone can respect our privacy about this situation. Thanks so much."
Their breakup news comes right on the heels of Miley's engagement announcement to boyfriend Liam Hemsworth last week.
Trace and Brenda first started dating in early 2010, and after Trace proposed to Brenda last October, Miley Tweeted, "Can't wait for Brenda to be a Cyrus :) Couldn't be more excited about my 'sister in law to be' yay :)"
